medcom.id, Jakarta: The government has ordered Pertamina to build and operate the Bontang oil refinery in East Kalimantan.
"It has been completed," Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister Arcandra Tahar said on Friday (12/16).
"The decree has been signed," he continued.
The refinery will have a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day. It will produce high quality fuel products.
"We welcome the assignment," Pertamina vice president corporate communication Wianda Pusponegoro said.
"We can complete the project faster. We do not start the project from scratch," she stated.
