medcom.id, Jakarta: Similar with Jakarta Composite Index, rupiah also strengthened against United States (US) dollar on Friday (2/5/2016) afternoon.
Quoting Bloomberg data, rupiah increased 16.5 points or 0.12 percent to Rp13,623/USD compared to its position in the opening at Rp13,637/USD. US dollar weakened due to low US economic data.
According to Yahoo Finance data, rupiah increased 40.5 points or 0.3 percent. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dolar Rate (Jisdor) recorded the currency at Rp13,653/USD.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened 133.13 points or 2.9 percent to 4,798. Meanwhile, LQ45 rose 30.21 points to 843 and JII rose 20.57 points to 642.
