BKPM Facilitates the Largest Alumina Refinery in Indonesia

medcom.id, Jakarta: The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) promised to facilitate the construction of the largest alumina refinery in Indonesia planned by PT Well Harvest Winning Alumina Refinery (PT WHW).
 
BKPM Chief Franky Sibarani mentioned PT WHW is committed to build one million ton capacity refinery. 
 
"The factory will create jobs and increase exports," stated Franky in a written statement, Jakarta, Friday (4/1/2016).
 
The project is estimated to cost around Rp12.5 trillion. It will absorb at least 2,435 workers. 
 
Franky added that 90 percent of the production will be exported. "The export value is estimated around USD765 million," he continued.
 
The government previously has urged mining companies to develop national downstream industry. "The project will strengthen national aluminium industry," he concluded.
