medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government will not grant a 10-year contract extension for Inpex.
"We will not give ten years," Luhut said on Monday (12/5).
The Japanese energy company previously agreed the onshore development of the Masela block. It however requested a 10-year contract extension.
Luhut discussed about the issue with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan and Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister Arcandra Tahar this afternoon.
"It will not be ten years," Arcandra stated.
