medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth reached 5.01 percent in the second quarter of 2017.
The country's GDP growth also reached 5.01 percent in the first quarter of 2017. It cumulatively reached 5.01 percent in the first semester of 2017.
The country's GDP growth reached 5.18 percent in the second quarter of 2016. It reached 5.04 percent in the first semester of 2016.
"It was influenced by slow global economic activities and falling commodity prices," BPS chairman Suhariyanto said.
The economic growth target was upgraded to 5.2 percent in the 2017 State Budget Amendment. It was set at 5.1 percent in the 2017 State Budget.
