medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla met with Oman's State Council chairman Yahya bin Mahfoodh al Manthri on the sidelines of the Leaders Summit of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
"We discussed about bilateral relations," Kalla said.
"We also discussed about Middle East issues," he continued.
Indonesia and Oman have several economic cooperation. The two countries have energy cooperation.
"Oman invests in Indonesia's oil sector," he stated.
The summit was attended by 21 IORA member countries, seven IORA dialogue partners and eight international organizations.
The IORA member countries are Indonesia, Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
