Indonesia's Savings Ratio Only 31%: OJK

medcom.id, Jakarta: Financial Services Authority (OJK) chairman Muliaman Hadad said savings to GDP ratio in Indonesia is only 31 percent.
 
Muliaman mentioned savings to GDP ratio in Singapore is 49 percent, while savings to GDP ratio in the Philippines is 46 percent.
 
"The number of the Indonesian adult population with access to formal financial services is only 36.1 percent," said Muliaman during the World Savings Day celebration at Jakarta Convention Center on Monday (10/31).

"It is lower compared to other ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore," he continued.
 
Muliaman mentioned OJK will promote campaign to increase savings to GDP ratio in the country. OJK will cooperate with stakeholders in the financial industry.
