medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia and Timor Leste agreed to increase their economic ties especially through bilateral industrial cooperation.
Minister of Industry Saleh Husin and Timor Leste's Minister of Trade, Industry and Environment Constâncio Da Conceição Pinto recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Industrial Technical Cooperation.
The MoU covers cooperation on capacity building, training, information sharing and exchange of experts.
"We are committed to support the Timor Leste government through technical cooperation," said Saleh in a written statement, Jakarta, Thursday (5/5/2016).
Minister Pinto welcomed the cooperation between the two countries. He acknowledged Indonesia's support to Timor Leste's economic development.
"We are committed to develop our manufacturing sector. We invite Indonesian businessmen to invest in our country," he stated.
