medcom.id, Jakarta: The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has announced Indonesia's inflation rate reached 0.69 percent month-on-month (mom) in July 2016. It is the lowest July inflation rate in the last five years.
"July 2012 was 0.7 percent, July 2013 was 2.29 percent, July 2014 was 0.93 and July 2015 was 0.93 percent," said BPS head Suryamin at his office, Jakarta, Monday (8/1/2016).
Suryamin mentioned that year-to-date (ytd) inflation rate reached 1.76 percent, while year-on-year (yoy) inflation rate reached 3.21 percent.
"Transportation and food prices were still high due to Ramadan and Lebaran," he stated.
72 of 82 cities in Indonesia experienced inflation last month. Tanjung Pandan had the highest inflation rate with 2.34 percent, while Gorontalo had the lowest inflation rate with 0.06 percent.
