medcom.id, Jakarta: Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia, Valiollah Mohammadi, said his country is expecting cooperation on infrastructure development with Indonesia.
Mohammadi mentioned his country is currently developing economic relations with many countries after western countries lifted their economic sanction to Iran. "We have visited two countries in Europe and signed 60 MoUs and partnership with them," stated Mohammadi in Iranian Embassy, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/9/2016).
He added German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier last month visited Iran and brought a long a 50-strong delegation. Therefore, Mohammadi urge Indonesia should not be left behind.
Iran wants to have partnership with Indonesia on infrastructure, road construction and public housings.
The country also eyes cooperation on oil and gas sector and power plant construction as President Joko Widodo has agenda to improve electricity in Indonesia. (Nabila Gita)
