medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia estimates inflation in 2016 would be low due to falling oil prices.

"Last year was 3.35 percent. In 2016, falling oil prices would make inflation more stable," said BI Governor Agus Martowardojo at his office, Jakarta, Friday (2/19/2016).

Agus said BI predicts inflation rate will be below four percent again this year. "Previously, we predicted inflation would be above four percent. Now we predict inflation would be below four percent," he explained.

Moreover, BI also has more positive observation on economic growth. Bi estimates economic growth in 2016 to be in the range of 5.2-5.5.6 percent.

"Now we predict it will be somewhere in the middle of the range. Previously, we predicted it will be in the lower limit of the range. It shows improvement," he concluded.
