medcom.id, Jakarta: Bloomberg showed Rupiah continued to strengthen against United States (US) dollar on Monday (2/1/2016) morning at Rp13,690/USD. Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance showed the currency at Rp13,680/USD.
NH Korindo Securities Indonesia's research chief Reza Priyambada mentioned US dollar continues its decline against other global currencies following rising oil prices.
"Market continue to sell US dollar as oil prices rebound," said Reza in his research.
Previously, US Federal Reserve stated global economic downturn will be persist affecting the position of US dollar in the market.
"Continue to monitor sentiments towards rupiah. Rupiah has opportunity to strengthen," said Reza.
