medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly weakened against United States (US) dollar this evening.
Quoting Bloomberg, Monday (1/25/2016) rupiah this evening was at Rp13,884/USD while Yahoo Finance showed the currency at Rp13,880/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) today recorded rupiah at Rp13,844/USD.
Previously in the morning Bloomberg showed rupiah at RP13,845/USD.
In contrary with rupiah, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) continued its rise in today's closing session.
JCI on Monday (1/25/2016) afternoon increased 49.05 points or 1.1 percent to 4,505. LQ45 rose 6.76 points to 786 and JII rose 4.74 to 595.
All sectors were in the green zone led by basic industry sector with 31.93 points, consumer sector with 26.62 points and manufacture sector with 17.37 points.
Trade volume reached 2.7 billion shares worth Rp3.6 trillion. 175 stocks increased, 108 stocks weakened and 94 stocks unchanged.
