medcom.id, Jakarta: Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the government will establish holding companies for state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the near future.
"We need approval from the House of Representatives. We have to follow the process," Kall said here on Thursday (9/8/2016).
Separately, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno said the government is still formulating the legal bases for the holding companies.
"We are adding few articles to the Government Regulation No 44/2015," Rini explained.
The government plans to establish six holding companies for oil and gas, mining, food, finance, highway and housing sectors.
