medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly increased against United States (US) dollar this evening compared with its position in the morning.
Bloomberg on Thursday (1/21/2016) afternoon showed rupiah at Rp13,906/USD while Yahoo Finance showed the currency at Rp13,915/USD. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded rupiah at Rp13,899/USD.
In contrary, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) slightly weakened in today's closing. It cannot maintain its positive performance in the morning.
JCI, Thursday (1/21/2016) today weakened 13.85 points or 0.3 percent to 4,414. LQ45 also fell 1.23 points to 767 and JII fell 1.02 points to 581.
Agriculture and manufacture were the strongest sectors today.
Transaction volume reached 2.4 billion shares worth Rp3.8 trillion. 96 stocks increased, 189 stocks decreased and 89 stocks unchanged.
