medcom.id, Jakarta: Bloomberg data showed rupiah weakened against United States (US) dollar this morning. The currency waned 82.5 points or 0.6 percent to Rp13,733.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance data showed rupiah at Rp13,770.
Samuel Sekuritas Analyst Rangga Cipta explained rupiah weakens as US dollar is getting stronger against most Asian currencies.
Negative sentiments came from falling oil prices and weak Chinese economic data.
"Besides external factor, domestic factor could also influence the currency. GDP will be announced on February 5 and it is predicted to be better," he said.
