medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly rebounded against United States (US) dollar this afternoon.
Quoting Bloomberg, rupiah on Thursday (1/7/2017) afternoon was at Rp13,927/USD compared to its position yesterday at Rp13,943.
Meanwhile, according Yahoo Finance, rupiah was at Rp13,930. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) recorded rupiah at Rp13,946.
In contrary with rupiah, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell sharply in the closing session.
JCI on Thursday (1/7/2015) afternoon was down 78.53 points or 1.7 percent to 4,530. LQ45 index fell 16.34 points to 785 and JII fell 12.84 points to 599.
All sectors stayed in red zone where the deepest fall recorded by consumer sector with 48.58 points.
Transaction volume reached 2.4 billion shares woorth Rp3.5 trillion. 79 stocks increased, 226 stocks decreased and 78 stocks unchanged.
