medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah weakened against United States (US) dollar again this morning after it briefly increased yesterday afternoon.
Quoting Bloomberg, Thursday (1/19/2016), rupiah weakened 12.5 points or 0.09 percent to Rp13,917/USD. The currency moved between Rp13,907-Rp13,941.
Meanwhile, according Yahoo Finance, rupiah weakaned 15 points or 0.11 percent to Rp13,910.
Analyst from Samuel Sekuritas, Rangga Cipta, explained rupiah weakened since the beginning of the week due to falling commodity prices.
"The focus this morning is Chinese economic growth data. If the data is bad, rupiah could continue to weaken," he said.
