medcom.id, Jakarta: The acceleration of infrastructure investment project realization in Indonesia is considered to be hard to do, as the budget for infrastructure developments in the State Budget is insufficient.
Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro admitted that the budget for infrastructure developments requires a large amount of fund. In this matter, the state budget is not large enough to accommodate the funding. It takes other resources of funds for the infrastructure developments.
"On infrastructure loans, it surely will not be enough from the State Budget," said Bambang, following the 10th anniversary of Savings Guarantee Agency (LPS), at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/22/2015).
Bambang quoted the data of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), whereas until 2019, the government will require at least Rp5,500 trillion to fund infrastructure projects.
From the amount, explained Bambang, the State Budget only covers a quarter of the total amount. As for that, Indonesia does require additional funds from other sources to implement the national infrastructure projects. "Loans are needed, as the State Budget is not enough," he concluded.
