medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah strengthened against United States (US) dollar this morning although analyst predicted rupiah's rise today will be limited.
Quoting Bloomberg on Wednesday (1/27/2016) morning rupiah was at Rp13,865 this morning while Yahoo Finance showed the currency at Rp13,870/USD.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta said rupiah has oppoortunity to strengthen against US dollar today although the movement will be limited.
Rupiah was down yesterday due to falling oil prices and Chinese stock market which affected all Asian currencies.
"Investor will still monitor external factors in China and the US. For domestic issue, investors will monitor cancellation of value added tax for cattle," he concluded.
