medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah was still in the red after New Year holiday. The currency continued its negative performance in the last days of 2015.
Quoting Bloomberg, Monday (1/4/2016), rupiah was at Rp13,898/USD. Meanwhile, according Yahoo Finance, Rupiah was even worse at Rp13,910.
Similar with rupiah, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) also weakened in the start of 2016.
JCI on Monday (1/4/2016) morning declined 22.64 points or 0.5 percent to 4,570.
Meanwhile, LQ45 index weakened 5.36 points to 786 and JII fell 3.89 points to 599.
Most sectors were in the red this morning. The lowest decrease recorded by consumer and trade sectors.
Transaction volume reached 127.8 million shares worth Rp167.8 billion. 32 stocks increased, 20 stocks decreased and 32 stocks unchanged.
