Eko Nordiansyah • 24 June 2016 20:56
medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Agus Martowardjojo ensured that Indonesia's economy is in good condition. He believes the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) will not have significant effect to the economy.

"Indonesia's economy is in good condition. We believe that this (market falout) is only temporary," he said at his office, Jakarta, on Friday (6/24/2016).

Agus mentioned that Indonesia's inflation nd current account deficit are stable. Inflation rate this month will be around 0.56 percent.

He added that UK is not Indonesia's main trading partner. Therefore, Brexit will not affect the country's exports and imports.

"But of course we will face financial impact in the form of  capital outflow," he concluded.
