medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Industry (Menperin) Saleh Husin appreciated automotive and national automotive components industries players for investing and trusting the business prospect in Indonesia. The government's measures, aside from providing incentives and creating conducive investment climate, is to also conduct tight surveillance to low quality imported products.

"It is proper that we provide protection to their market (automotive) from the invasion of questionable imported components," Saleh said in his press release in Jakarta, Tuesday (8/11/2015).

The surveillance, he explained, aside from the investment measures is also to maintain work fields in the automotive industry and consumer protection.

"Therefore, we maintain the huge local aftermarket to be utilized as optimum as possible by local components industry through the surveillance tightening of low quality products from abroad," he affirmed.

According to Saleh, the chances of absorbing local motored vehicles and domestic components may be optimized by fulfilling the needs of automotive products in the governmental or state-owned companies environment.

"It has become a stimulant to show that local production may support national needs," Saleh concluded.
