medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo opened the IORA Business Summit in Jakarta on Monday, March 6, 2017.
"The Indian Ocean is the ocean of the future," he said.
"It carries half of the world's container chips. It also carries two thirds of the world's oil shipments," he continued.
He believes the region has bright future. He also believes the region has many potentials.
"The internet is everywhere now," he stated.
"We should connect people with online applications, online platforms and online marketplaces," he added.
Indonesia will host the IORA Leaders Summit in Jakarta on March 7.
