Finnish Investor to Build Waste Treatment Facility in Jakarta

medcom.id Jakarta: Finnish company Fortum will build a waste treatment facility in North Jakarta.
 
The facility will be constructed in Sunter district. It will cost around Rp3 trillion.
 
"It is an important project for Jakarta," said acting Jakarta Governor Sumarsono after the contract signing ceremony at the City Hall in Jakarta on Friday (12/16).

The facility will be operational in 2019. It will manage around 2,200 tonnes of waste per day.
 
"We will produce eight thousand tonnes of waste per day in the next three years,"added Sumarsono.
 
Fortum will cooperate with PT Jakarta Propertindo in the project.
