Central Banks Committed to Anticipate Brexit Fallout

medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Agus Martowardojo attended Bank fo International Settlement (BIS) annual meeting in Basel, Switzerland, last weekend.
 
Agus and other central bank governors discussed the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU). They supported the measures that have been prepared by the Bank of England.
 
"Central bank governors are committed to monitor global financial market," said BI spokesperson Tirta Segara in a written statement, on Monday (6/27/2016).

Tirta added BI will closely monitor the impact of Brexit to Indonesia. It will increase cooperation with the government and other financial agencies.
 
UK voters decided to leave the EU in a referendum last week. The result created shock in all around the world including Indonesia.
