medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) Senior Deputy Governor Mirza Adityasawara said the central bank will maintain its benchmark interest rate until the end of the year.
"Yes, that is correct," said Mirza in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/23).
Mirza mentioned BI will wait the new government in the United States (US) next year. The central bank will also closely observe monetary policies in the US.
"We will see the condition in the US in January," he continued.
BI maintained BI 7 Day Repo Reverse Rate at 4.75 percent last week. The central bank also maintained deposit facility rate at four percent and lending facility rate at 5.5 percent.
Previously, BI decreased BI 7 Day Repo Reverse Rate twice from 5.25 percent in August to 4.75 percent in October.
