Inflation Reaches 0.14% in October 2016

medcom.id, Jakarta: The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced that inflation reached 0.14 percent month-on-month and 3.31 percent year-on-year in October 2016.
 
BPS head Suhariyanto mentioned that inflation from January 2016 to October 2016 reached 2.11 percent.
 
"48 cities experienced inflation and 34 cities experienced deflation," said Suhariyanto during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/1).

He explained that administered prices increased by 0.57 percent. Meanwhile, volatile food prices decreased by 0.26 percent.
 
"The government increased LPG prices, electricity tariffs and cigarette taxes," he stated.
 
Previously, inflation reached 0.22 percent month-on-month and 3.07 percent year-on-year in September 2016.
