medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly weakened against United States (US) dollar this morning.
Quoting Bloomberg data on Monday (1/18/2016) morning rupiah weakened 15 points or 0.11 percent to Rp13,924. The currency moved between Rp13,907-Rp13,974.
Meanwhile Yahoo Finance data showed Rupiah weakened 50 points or 0.36 percent to Rp13,935.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta explained rupiah was pushed down by low commodity prices. Rupiah is predicted to continue its fall today.
"However, inflation is predicted to be lower. There is also opportunity for another fuel prices cut," he said.
