medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah weakened against United States (US) dollar toward the end of 2015. Rupiah's performance is in contrary with Jakarta Composite Index (JCI).
According to Bloomberg data, Wednesday (12/30/2015) late afternoon, rupiah was at Rp13,788/USD. While Yahoo Finance data showed rupiah at Rp13,795. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dolar Rate (Jisdor) recorded the currency at Rp13,794.
Today, JCI closed 2015 in the green. JCI on Wednesday (12/30/2015) strengthened 23.647 points or 0.518 percent to 4,593 points. Meanwhile, LQ45 index strengthened 6.84 points to 794 points and JII rose 6.37 points to 605 points.
most sectors were in the green today. Only consumer sector that was in the red with 10.76 points.
Transaction volume reached 2.7 billion shares worth Rp3.7 trillion. 170 stocks increased, 116 stocks decreased and 98 stocks unchanged.
