medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Trade Thomas Lembong stated Indonesia is committed to strengthen trade relations with New Zealand during Indonesia-New Zealand Business Forum at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, this morning.
"New Zealand is our main dairy product supplier," he said at Shangri-La Hotel, Monday (7/18/2016).
According to him, Indonesia aims to increase trade between the two countries from USD1 billion per year to USD3 billion per year. Besides trade cooperation, Indonesia also wants to explore cooperation in other sectors such as education, tourism, e-commerce and services.
Indonesia-New Zealand Business Forum was also attended by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key. He is visiting Indonesia for four days from July 17 to July 20.
He is scheduled to conduct bilateral meeting with President Joko Widodo later today. The two leaders will sign memorandum of understandings on renewable energy, tourism, IUU fishing.
