medcom.id, Jakarta: The government will build transportation infrastructures around Lake Toba to boost tourism in the region.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government will build new roadways and expand Silangit and Sibisa airports.
"Hopefully, we can complete the projects in the first quarter of 2019," Luhut said after a coordination meeting at his office in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/5).
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said the government will expand the runway in Sibisa airport. Therefore, a Boeing 737-800 plane can landed in the airport.
"We will start the project next year," Arief stated.
