medcom.id, Jakarta: The World Bank has predicted Indonesia's economy will grow 5.1 percent this year, 5.3 percent next year and 5.5 percent in 2018.
World Bank chief economist for the East Asia and Pacific region Sudhir Shetty advised Indonesia to monitor economic situation in China. He stated China's economy will continue to slow down.
"Economic growth in the East Asia and Pacific region will depend on several risks including global financial slowdown and China's economic slowdown," he said through a teleconference from Singapore on Wednesday (5/10).
He also recommended Indonesia to diversify its exports. He mentioned agriculture commodity prices will not increase significantly for the next 2-3 years.
"The increase will still be lower than the 2014 level," he concluded.
