Panasonic Undergoes Restructuring, Merges Factories

medcom.id, Jakarta: Panasonic Indonesia is merging factories as a part of its restructuring plan. The action is taken to adapt  with current market situation in the the region.
 
President Director of Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia (PMI) Ichiro Suganuma said three factories will be merged. One factory is in Pasuruan, East Java while the other two factories are in Cileungsi and Cikarang, West Java.
 
"We will focus on value-added products," mentioned Sunaguma in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/2/2016).
 
Suganuma explained that Panasonic Indonesia has two business units on the lighting sector. First is the PT Panasonic Lighting Indonesia (PESLID) with its factory in Pasuruan, East Java, that produces compact flourescent light bulbs (CFL).
 
"Meanwhile, another one is PT Panasonic Gobel Eco Solution Manufacturing Indonesia (PESGMFID) with two factories in Cikarang and Cileungsi. Both factories produce LED lamps for the domestic and export markets. The factories also produce electric plugs," he concluded.
