medcom.id, Jakarta: Rupiah slightly increased against United States (US) dollar this afternoon.
Quoting Bloomberg data, Tuesday (1/5/2015) afternoon, rupiah was at Rp13,892/USD. While Yahoo Finance showed the currency was at Rp13,865. Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor), rupiah was at Rp13,931.
In contrary with rupiah, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) stayed firm in the green today.
JCI in the closing session strengthened 31.9 points or 0.7 percent to 4,557. LQ45 increased 7.42 points to 789 and JII rose 5.15 points to 597.
The highest increase today recorded by agriculture sector with 34.23 points. Trade sector weakened 5.77 points.
Transaction volume reached 2.4 billion shares worth Rp3.8 trillion. 168 stocks increased, 129 stocks decreased and 84 stocks unchanged.
