Indonesian Economy to Grow 5.1-5.3% in 2017: Bappenas

Husen Miftahudin • 08 December 2016 20:12
medcom.id, Jakarta: The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) has predicted that Indonesia's economy will only grow around 5.1-5.3 percent in 2017.

"Export and import activities will decline because of China's economic troubles," National Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said on Thursday (11/28).

Donald Trump's presidency will also threaten Indonesia's economy. His protectionist policies will hamper the global economy.

"Domestic private sector will have limited activities," he continued.

"It will affect investment realization," he stated.
