BI Maintains Benchmark Interest Rate

medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) maintained BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate at 4.75 percent at recent board meeting.

BI also maintained deposit facility rate at four percent and lending facility rate at 5.5 percent.

"The policy is consistent with efforts to optimize domestic economic recovery while maintaining macroeconomic stability," BI spokesman Tirta Segara said on Thursday (12/15).

"Moving forward, Bank Indonesia remains vigilant of several risks, including those deriving from global economic uncertainties, especially relating to US and China policies," he continued.

BI lowered the benchmark interest rate from five percent to 4.75 percent in October.
