medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo said political issues should not hamper the economy of the country.
"Political issues should not hamper the economy," Jokowi said during the KADIN National Leadership Meeting in Jakarta on Thursday (1/12).
Jokowi urged businessmen to continue their activities. He also encouraged them to catch opportunities.
"We should not lose focus, concentration and momentum," he continued.
Muslim conservatives staged a mass protest last month. They demanded the police to charge Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for blasphemy.
Jakarta will hold local election next February. The incumbent will compete against Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and Anies Baswedan.
