medcom.id, Jakarta: Bloomberg showed rupiah opened at Rp13,622 against United States (US) dollar on Wednesday (2/10/2016). The currency then strengthened 60.5 points or 0.44 percent to Rp13,551/USD.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Finance showed rupiah strengthened 30 points or 0.22 percent to Rp13,560/USD.
Samuel Sekuritas analyst Rangga Cipta mentioned rupiah could increase further. The obstacle for the currency is the falling oil prices.
Rangga said investors are currently waiting for automotive sales data that is predicted will be announced no later than next week.
