Pertamina's Oil and Gas Production Increases 12.5% in First Semester

medcom.id, Jakarta: Pertamina's oil and gas production increased by 12.5 percent in the first semester of 2016 compared to the same period last year.
 
It rose from 569 thousand barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day to 640 thousand boe per day.
 
Pertamina vice president corporate communication Wianda Pusponegoro explained that the company's oil production grew by 11.3 percent from 274 thousand barrels per day to 305 thousand barrels per day.

Meanwhile, its gas production moved up by 15.8 percent from 1,710 mmscfd to 1938 mmscfd.
 
Wianda added that the increase was mainly supported by Pertamina's overseas oil and gas fields.
 
"The increase of oil production was supported by (oil fields) in Iraq and Algeria," she stated.
