medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has ordered the related ministries to accelerate national strategic projects.
He addressed a number of transportation projects. He mentioned Padang-Bukittinggi and Pekanbaru-Bukittig highway projects.
"I need the report about the progress," Jokowi said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The Padang-Bukitttinggi highway route will span around 80 kilometers. The Pekanbaru-Bukittinggi highway route will span around 185 kilometers.
Padang is the capital of West Sumatra Province. Bukittinggi is the second largest city in the region.
"These projects should boost economic activities in West Sumatra province," Jokowi said.
