medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded 1.35 million foreign tourist visits in July 2017, a 30.85 percent increase compared to the same month last year.
"As many as 1.19 million foreign tourist visits were recorded in 19 main entry gates," BPS chairman Suhariyanto said.
"Additional 208,990 foreign tourist visits were recorded in other entry gates," he added.
The amount of foreign tourist visits reached 7.81 million in January-July 2017. It increased 23.53 percent compared to the same period last year.
The hotel occupancy rate reached 57.52 percent in July 2017. It increased 3.75 percent compared to the same month last year.
