Gov't Needs Rp111 Trillions to Build Gas Networks in 38 Cities

medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said said the government needs Rp111.3 trillions to build national gas networks.
 
Sudirman explained gas networks could be available for 7.9 million households in 38 cities.
 
"According to current gas production and distribution, we could develop gas networks for 7.9 million households in 38 cities," he said in Surabaya, Tuesday (5/3/2016).
 
"For the next five years, the government will spend Rp18.2 trillion to build gas networks for 1.3 million households," he continued.
 
In 2025, the government estimates national gas networks will reach five million households.
 
Currently, only 204,766 households connected in gas networks. The gas infrastructures are built by the government, National Gas Company (PGN) and Pertamina.
