Inpex Ensures Its Commitment in Masela

medcom.id, Jakarta: Inpex CEO  Toshiaki Kitamura met President Joko Widodo in State Palace, Jakarta. During the meeting, the Japanese oil company reiterated its commitment regarding Masela block project.
 
"Inpex wants to continue the project," said a company spokesperson Usman Slamet after the meeting on Tuesday (6/14/2016).
 
The government has decided onshore liquified natural gas (LNG) refinery for the offshore gas field. Previously, Inpex proposed a floating LNG plant.

Usman ensured Inpex is not disappointed with the decision. "It is important for regional economic development" he added.
 
Nevertheless, he mentioned that the government should prepare plan for the onshore scheme especially the construction of pipelines. "It should be technically and economically feasible," he concluded.
