medcom.id, Jakarta: Central Agency of Statistics (BPS) recorded 0.09 percent deflation in February 2015. Meanwhile, year on year inflation last month was at 4.42 percent and calendar year inflation was 0.42 percent.
BPS Chief Suryamin stated 52 from 82 cities experienced deflation last month. Highest deflation was in Merauke with 2.95 percent. The lowest deflation was in Sibolga, Bogor, Sumenep and Makassar with 0.02 percent.
"Highest inflation recorded in Tanjung Pandan with 1.02 percent," he mentioned during press conference, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/1/2016).
This is the second consecutive times Indonesia experienced deflation in February. "This is the second time in February since 2010," he concluded.
