medcom.id, Jakarta: The government has decided to implement budget cuts for the second time this year.
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani ensured the government will not cut infrastructure spending. According to her, President Joko Widodo sees infrastructure development as top priority.
"We will not cut infrastructure spending," she said on the sidelines of the 12 World Islamic Economic Forum at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Thursday (8/4/2016).
The former World Bank managing director explained the government will cut ministry and agency spending by Rp65 trillion and regional transfer funding by Rp68.8 trillion.
Early this year, the government cut its spending by Rp50 trillion in the revision of 2016 state budget.
