medcom.id, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) senior official mentioned there is still possibility for BI to again lower its benchmark interest rate (BI rate) as inflation continues to be stable.

"The room is still. Moreover, we are still observing that the inflation target is good. We will observe every month," mentioned BI's executive director of economic and monetary policy, Jakarta, Thursday (2/25/2016).

BI has lowered its rate twice in 2016. This month, BI lowered its rate from 7.24 percent to 7.00 percent, or 25 basis points.

Moreover, Juda mentioned that BI is also observing the global oil prices as it has big influence to inflation level.

"In total, the inflation room is estimated at four percent for this year. Even if the oil price declines, the room could still available," concluded Juda.
