medcom.id, Jakarta: The House of Representatives Commission IX overseeing manpower affairs has issued five recommendations to prevent illegal foreign workers.
"Many people highlight the issue now," House Commission IX Saleh Partaonan Daulay in a press release on Wednesday (12/28).
First, the government should establish a joint task force. Second, the government should apply severe punishments. Third, the government should promote local workers.
Fourth, the Manpower Ministry should recruit more inspectors. Fifth, the Manpower Ministry should improve regulations.
"The Manpower Ministry could reinstate the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test," Saleh stated.
