medcom.id, Jakarta: The Trade Ministry has instructed PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI) to stabilize chili prices in several regions.
PPI will buy chilies from production centers. The state-owned company then will distribute the chilies.
"The state-owned company will supply chilies," Trade Ministry domestic trade director general Oke Nurwan said here on Tuesday (12/27).
Chili prices increased over the last few weeks. Chili prices rose 100 percent in several regions.
"Some production centers had failed harvests," Oke explained.
