medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution predicts inflation will reach 2.5 percent by the end of the year.
"It will reach 2.5 percent by the end of the year. It is very ideal," said Darmin in Jakarta on Thursday (11/10).
The former Bank Indonesia governor explained low inflation can boost credit growth. It can help reduce lending rates.
"We want to reduce lending rates to single digit levels," Darmin stated.
Previously, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced inflation reached 0.12 percent in October 2016. It reached 2.11 percent in January-October 2016.
